September 3 - Slide presentation on historic Kelleys Island at the island's 4-H camp for the 7th grade class of Hawken School.
September 11 - Book signing at the Butterfly Festival at the Kelleys Island Historical Society Museum. Pat Hayes will be conducting a Monarch butterfly tagging demonstration. This is also Treasure Island Day! An island-wide garage sale.

August 13 - Friday 5-8 pm - Leslie will be signing her book at Borders in Sandusky Mall (on Route 250), about one mile north of Route 2/250 exit. Click on the Borders picture for a link to their website.
August 21 - Saturday - Kelleys Island Homecoming. The festival runs from 10 am to 6 pm and features a concert by the North Coast Band, games, a nature show by Back to the Wild, booths and contests (pretzel eating, pet parade, kids games and new this year, marshmallow golf).
July 15 - Thursday, 3:30 - 5:00 pm - Lakeside Speakers program, Fountain Inn-Green Room, Lakeside Ohio.
I had a great time presenting a slideshow and talk about the early days of Kelleys Island. Lakeside is absolutely gorgeous, a must see for anyone. There are concerts, speakers, author presentations, craft seminars, and the list goes on. July 12 - Monday, 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm - Independence Library, Independence OH
Author Leslie Korenko presented an interesting and entertaining look at life on Kelleys Island in the 1800’s. Judy Stefanko said "Thanks somuch for presenting your Kelleys Island program. It was a very good turnout!" One of the highlights of my day was meeting Mary Alice (Martin) Madden. She was actually born on the Island, in an apartment over what is now The Pump!
May 30 - Book signing and sale at the Port Clinton Walleye Festival from 1-7 in the festival booth area. Meet other Ohio authors at this event too.

November 21 - Presentation at the North West Ohio Writer's Forum (NWOWF) at the Sanger Library in Toledo at 10 am.
September 12 - Kelleys Island Butterfly Festival and Treasure Island Day.
July 24-25 - Islandfest at Kelleys Island. This is a great way to meet the author and see a little of the island. Islandfest is a 3-day festival with music, shopping, lots of fun and food, and in

the evening, enjoy dancing in the street.
August 1 - The Kelleys Island Historical Museum on Division Street sponsored a Meet The Author book signing at their annual Art Show that featured Leslie and Cleveland TV personality "Big Chuck" Schodowski. This annual event showcases local authors and unique items from island artisans, including jewelry, oil and watercolor paintings, carvings and other unusual items.
August 15 - Kelleys Island Homecoming - a 1-day celebration in the park that includes a big band concert (by the renown North Coast Band), a parade,
pretzel eating and pet competitions, food, shopping and games. Leslie will have a booth

right under the trees. This is truly a small-town celebration and loads of fun.
August 22 - ExLibris bookstore/library in Marblehead (110 W. Main St.). Sit on the porch for a few minutes and enjoy people watching during the Perch Festival.
